4. Sensitive Personal Information

Monzum does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a service you request, required by law, or provided through an authorized application or recruiting process. Sensitive personal information may include Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, government identifiers, financial account information, health or medical information, biometric information, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, or other data treated as sensitive under applicable law.

For most website visitors, Monzum does not need this type of information. If a driver chooses to complete a carrier application, Tenstreet IntelliApp, background-related process, DOT-related process, or similar third-party application process, additional sensitive information may be collected by the applicable carrier, recruiting partner, or third-party application provider under their own privacy practices.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that are inconsistent with applicable privacy laws.

5. Information Collected Automatically, Cookies, and Analytics

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, server logs, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, measure traffic, understand how users interact with our services, improve content, support security, and measure advertising or marketing performance.

These tools may collect information such as pages visited, referring websites, approximate location, browser type, device type, and interactions with the website. Analytics information is generally used in aggregated or deidentified form where practical.

4. To share driver information with carriers, recruiters, recruiting partners, or application providers only after the driver chooses to apply, requests contact, asks for assistance, or otherwise consents;

5. To manage carrier advertising inquiries, campaign requests, business communications, and vendor relationships;

6. To send administrative messages, service updates, transactional messages, and notices about changes to our policies or services;

7. To send marketing communications when permitted by law, and to honor opt-out requests;

8. To monitor site performance, debug errors, improve user experience, conduct analytics, and develop new features;

9. To protect against fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, illegal activity, and violations of our terms or policies;

10. To comply with applicable laws, legal process, recordkeeping duties, and lawful requests; and

11. To evaluate or complete a merger, sale, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or similar business transaction.

7. Future Matching, Pre-Qualification, Assessment, and Automated Tools

As Monzum’s technology develops, we may offer driver matching tools, pre-qualification tools, eligibility indicators, preference-based recommendations, assessments, automated filters, or similar features designed to help users find relevant job opportunities. These tools may use information such as your location or ZIP code, driving experience, license type, job preferences, application activity, and other information you choose to provide.

Monzum does not currently make final hiring decisions on behalf of carriers or employers. Hiring decisions remain with the applicable carrier, employer, recruiting partner, or third-party application provider. If we introduce automated tools that have a legal or similarly significant effect on users, we will provide any notices, choices, opt-out rights, or appeal rights required by applicable law.

We may create aggregated, anonymized, or deidentified data from personal information. We may use and share aggregated, anonymized, or deidentified information for analytics, service improvement, research, reporting, business planning, and marketing, provided the information does not reasonably identify you.

8. How We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information as described below:

1. Carriers, recruiters, and recruiting partners: Only when you choose to apply, request contact, ask us to help with pre-qualification, or otherwise consent to sharing.

2. Third-party application providers: For example, Tenstreet or similar application systems, when you choose to submit an application or use those services.

3. Service providers and vendors: Such as website hosting, cloud storage, analytics, email, SMS/text messaging, CRM, customer support, security, advertising technology, payment processing, and business operations providers.

4. Advertising and analytics partners: To measure advertising performance, understand website usage, and support marketing, subject to your choices and applicable law.

5. Business contacts and affiliates: With Monzum affiliates, contractors, or business partners when needed to provide or improve services.

We do not sell driver application information in the ordinary meaning of selling personal information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale,” “share,” or “targeted advertising” broadly, and certain advertising or analytics activities may be considered a sale, share, or targeted advertising under those laws. Where required, we provide opt-out rights.

9. Email, SMS/Text Messages, and Marketing Choices

If you provide your email address or phone number, we may contact you about job opportunities, applications, recruiting support, advertising inquiries, account/service updates, or other Monzum-related matters. Where required, we will obtain consent before sending marketing text messages or certain promotional communications.

1. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at info@monzum.com.

2. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP, unless a different opt-out instruction is provided in the message.

3. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to use Monzum’s services.

4. We may still send transactional or administrative messages, such as responses to your requests or updates about an application you started.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, respond to requests, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the security of our services, and support legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer needed, we will delete, deidentify, aggregate, or otherwise dispose of it in a reasonable manner, subject to our legal and business obligations.

Monzum is based in the United States and primarily provides U.S.-based trucking job board, recruiting-related, advertising, and website services. Drivers Lounge media content featured on the Monzum website is owned by Monzum Media and licensed or otherwise authorized for display by Monzum. However, people outside the United States, including viewers or visitors in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, may access our website, content, or services.

Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or similar international data protection laws apply, Monzum acts as a data controller for personal information we collect directly through our website, forms, communications, marketing, analytics, and business services. Third-party carriers, recruiting partners, application providers, payment processors, social media platforms, and analytics providers may act as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy practices.
